Feb. 5 Recital Photos

Please let me begin by saying THANK YOU to the Crete United Methodist Church, their staff and friends, and their parishioners for giving us the chance to play there. The audience was wonderful and generous and we thank them as well, and hope to perform there many more times.

Pastor Fritz Bartels was there and took some pictures which he was kind enough to share with us, and to permit us to share them with you. Naturally, he was modest about them, saying that he might have done better if he could have used a flash, but we love them and think they're very fine.

Makes you wish we would have said he could his flash, no?

We recorded both audio and video, but haven't had a serious look or listen yet. If we came up with something that passes muster we'll share it with you soon.

Again, thank you to everyone who made this recital such a great day for us. We hope to play for you all again.

Peace,
DEF

Concert at Crete United Methodist Church

Welcome.

On Sunday February 5 at 3:00, (yes, the date of this, our first post) at the Crete United Methodist Church in Crete, Illinois we will be performing a recital. We are David Forsman, cello, and Melinda Sondag, piano. More about us as we get this blog going, but it seems important to have some content up before the performance because we will be mentioning it to the audience and inviting them to keep up with us through this blog.

Our program is
Gabriel Faure: Siciliene
Joseph Guy Ropartz: Cello Sonata 2 in A
Dmitri Shostakovich: Cello Sonata in D minor
Prokofieff: The Montagues & Capulets from Romeo & Juliet

We'll let you know how it went, maybe offer you some audio or video. We'll see. Check back with us, please.
